Steve Neil has been involved in landlord-tenant law for more than 25 years, as a writer, a staff attorney for the city housing department, with the Civil Division of the Legal Aid Society, and in private practice. He has practiced and won victories in every state court from housing court to the Court of Appeals and appears regularly before the various administrative agencies that touch upon tenant's rights. He has taught at New York Law School and participated as a panel member in Continuing Legal Education programs on landlord-tenant law.
Mr. Neil is responsible for the firm's transactional practice, representing residential and commercial buyers and sellers of real estate, and oversees its bankruptcy practice, which specializes in aiding debtors in Chapter 7 and 13 proceedings. He has an active practice in proceedings arising under Mental Hygiene Law Article 81, which governs guardianship proceedings.
